eztv.it is a good site to download series (even ones that have ended)
I use both Zattoo and Netflix (with VPN). Just the perfect coverage between live TV and streaming.
Using Project Free TV and 1Channel a lot. Occasionally, IceFilms. All of the have movies and TV.
Netflix, Hulu, Roku are all good choices. Some series that are a little offbeat can be watched on YouTube as well. In some cases, depending on where you purchased the device, you may need a VPN setup or another "shielding" technology so that you can watch a series that is technically limited for streaming within certain geographic borders (eg inside the USA only).
Ok, my IT limitation borders are reached and crossed....
The laptop I'd use is Swiss, no idea if this could mean that i need anything to do in order to stram anything.

Welllllll...depends on your definition. Technically, most of the series that you will be looking at are supposed to be viewed only within pre-defined geographic borders. That's why, if you were to just try and stream them directly, you will get a message that says something like "sorry, this program is not yet available in your geography." So, if you want to watch, you need to fool the server into thinking you are within that originating country's borders. I get comfortable with it by figuring that I will return now and again to my home country and purchase some of the items that they advertise on the streaming video, thus, I'm doing my part to support the program financially. I also pay the fees on my ex-Swiss credit card for viewing the streaming, so I'm not ripping off the service.

I use filmon.com as it has a wide selection TV and film channels from all over the place - including many British and US channels.
Works well here in Egypt and when I am in Britain, Germany and Switzerland. There's a good Ipad app for it as well.
And its all free.
