The 6th Sense left me sleeping with the light on for a week .... energy saving light bulb, of course! Have had to come to terms with the fact that I'm a total wimp when it comes to horror movies.
This is acutally scary to me: When I was a kid for a couple of years I got home before the rest of my family. If I was watching TV, the worst thing that could happen would be for the broadcaster to do the test of the Emergency Broadcast System:
I would be out of the house before the hellraiser emergency tone sounded, and remain there until someone came home . No idea why it scared me so much.
Can't think of the last "horror" film which actually freaked me out. The English language remake of the Grudge had a few disturbing moments, but on the whole was a disappointing movie. I suppose I'm pretty immune to stuff like that, even excessive gore gets a "meh" from me.
I do remember as a teenager though, having watched Dawn of the Dead (original) I was scared that Zombies would start crawling out of the earth. Even Salem's Lot (with Hutch ) stopped me from looking out of the window at night and I was always a little hesitant about looking in mirrors. A few more recent films have invoked a "WTF?" from me; Jacob's Ladder and Angel Heart, and I suppose Saw to a certain extent.
Now the original Omen is soooooooo spooky! Yeah that creeped me out big time especially in the scene where he looks at the boy's scalp and sees the 666 on the center of his scalp. That really scared me the first time I saw it!
LOL! I used to hate those tests, they were soooo annoying!
Yep. The whole movie is creepy, how about that look from the satanic nanny, or when she hangs herself in front of the party "Damien this is for you"......
oh no I have!! it was brilliant loved every minute of it!! but if I watch it Im back to the very reason I started the thread!! freaking out in bed unable to sleep :P
