Hi all,
Probably a quick question. I just received a tax bill for my gemeinde for the year 2023.
It doesn't explicitly say 'provisional' on it, so before I ask them, I thought I'd ask here.
It has to be provisional right? Given it's March 2023.
Just seems odd to get it so early.
Any thoughts?

It‘d an advice what they think you should pay.
So that you have time to save up for it
We always get our Gemeinde and Cantonal tax in advance. Then they correct it after you've sent the tax return (either you get a further bill or a refund).

OK cool, thanks all.
Just odd that all the other levels (federal and Kantonal) suggest provisional or definitiv on the documentation in my experience.
Makes sense as they also don't suggest a date by which it needs to be paid.
