Hi some little twoc has graffitied the mirror opposite the house that lets us see what’s coming on the road. It’s my mirror, I paid for it. Does anyone know if this is a police report thing or a commune report thing ?
I would spend my energy on cleaning the mirror, if you need it.

Depends on what the graffiti is.
If it's a tag whose owner is known to Police then they can do something otherwise your idea of cleaning is the best idea.
You can make a report against "unkown" at the police. Do not expect a lot.
If you know who did it you can make a report against them, plus persuade civil damages to get back the cleaning costs.
Their job?
What job? Catching who did that? Zero chance.
Cleaning it? Not their job.
Report it so maybe your insurance pays out if you need a new one.
Things like this are very annoying and I would report it to the police, and of course take photos before you attempt to clean it. If it cannot be cleaned properly then you should make an insurance report. Mirrors are more difficult to clean as you don't want to scratch them.
I noticed when I was at the DIY store just over the border in Italy recently that certain types of spray paint can only be sold to persons over a certain age. I can't recall the age but I was just so surprised to see this.
Hope the mirror isn't permanently damaged.
A crime has been committed. Your report it. Years ago my allotment garage was broken into. There was nothing to steal, but the window had been smashed. I talked to the police and yes, they said there's little they can do, but it was good I'd reported it, because
a) it gives the police a picture of what's going on
b) if there had been other break-ins in the area with a similar MO, it might actually help the police to catch them.
Intelligence of criminal activity is always helpful. Of course, some police officers are lazy gits and can't be bothered.
