I stack up with Marmite when going to Holland. It costs so much less than buying it here (if you even find it that is) and together with real golden syrup plus Lemoncurd my desires are filled.
Well...at least till I run out and find and excuse to travel up to get some more!!

You might want to check the Dutch store in Adliswil (holländische lädeli). They also do internet sales and send stuff. Dutch people eat Marmite as well :-)

I'm an exchange student from Australia, staying in Winterthur for 1 year. I decided I would bring along a small quantity of vegemite (expecting it to last a long time considering I've never heard of a foreigner liking vegemite) but lo and behold, my host family has fallen in love with this god-like spread - so much so they've become inventive and even started serving it with chicken.
The sad part about this is that I HAVE NO VEGEMITE.
Anyway, I've been craving Tim Tams like crazy and can only find them for importing from Germany (expensive as) and same goes for Vegemite.
However, I've heard there are two places in Switzerland I can buy Vegemite, Orell Füssli, on Bahnhofstr. Zürich apparently stocks it in the basement with the English book section. Also, I'm aware of "mullum australia" in Rapperswil however from looking at their website - it's the biggest load of overpriced sheisse I've ever seen in my life. Oh, apart from the "Outback Lodge" which has absolutely nothing on the menu that's actually your standard Aussie meal apart from VB (beer).
Anyway, it would be awesome if someone could tell me where to find these things...especially Vegemite because Cenovis just doesn't cut it.

The Swiss equivalent is called Cenovis and is similar to Marmite and Vegemite
To be honest, Orell Füssli on Bahnhofstr. is the easiest place to get Vegemite, but it'll cost you your left nut.
That being said, it's still sorta worth it, and you can always put in an order with someone travelling back to Oz to bring an extra jar back.
If only you'd posted this two weeks ago I could have swung you a spare jar of it.
The" Outback" MUST be avoided at all costs. In fact, you should lose your citizenship status if caught frequenting this establishment.
It is pure fraud to state that this place is in anyway associated with Australia.

This is time for all travelling Australians to experience the joys of European beer and escape the dogma that the cats piss we drink is called beer.
In saying that, look for "Chopfab" in the Coop supermarket, they have an Australian Pale Ale which is remarkably similar to Coopers, but better.
Almost anything German or Belgian is a better beer.

I have a large jar of Vegemite earmarked for a friend in Zurich (I'm in Lausanne, we've still got to make time to meet up). I'm not crazy about the stuff (don't mind it), but so there.
Brought a lot of Tim Tams with me when I moved from Australia recently; quite a few were for my friend in London, and a few more handed out here. Still have a few packets left. I'm fine without needing to get my fix for now; if that changes or I need to get more rescue packs for others, then I'll likely enlist the help of my sister visiting in February to take over a decent amount.
If you haven't been to Australia for a while then next time you visit you will find that the Tim Tam comes in a wide variety of flavours - the original remains the best by far in my opinion. I had to try them all for "research" purposes of course :-)
Tim tams are sold in the uk as penguins so available from the many online Swiss based English stores, or cheap to get a Brit to send some over
Apparently Tim Tams don't taste the same as Penquins - to an Australian, that would be like saying Marmite is a substitute for Vegemite (or Weetabix is a substitute for Weetbix).

Vegemite, bundy rum and other Aussie goodies are available in the Australia Shop at Rapperswil........or a quick trip to London........I get mine in London....we have lived here over 3years......good luck....

I think I once saw Vegemite on the shelf in the Jelmoli grocery store on Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse.
Though maybe that was Marmite?
I really don't know what either of those are.
