Now this I like.
AI tool that sounds like a grandmother created to waste phone scammers’ time
Some of the callers got pretty unpolite in that video, to put it mildly. Now imagine they were taped “for quality reasons” by their boss and got fired after!
The day will come when AI scammers will call AI Daisys … and the network will break down.
But let’s enjoy it while it lasts.
There was a much less sophisticated version which used recorded messages and surprisingly it kept them on the hook:
Interesting interview with 01.ai:
It shows how under pressure China is due to sanctions and GPU restrictions. The company had to train AI using just 2,000 GPUs while US rivals have hundreds of thousands of GPUs for training.
What an article title, full article here (open access):
AI-generated poetry is indistinguishable from human-written poetry and is rated more favorably
And the implication of easy = good is very interesting. Maybe AI has the potential to disrupt all kinds of so-called low-brow entertainment:
We found that AI-generated poems were rated more favorably in qualities such as rhythm and beauty, and that this contributed to their mistaken identification as human-authored. Our findings suggest that participants employed shared yet flawed heuristics to differentiate AI from human poetry: the simplicity of AI-generated poems may be easier for non-experts to understand, leading them to prefer AI-generated poetry and misinterpret the complexity of human poems as incoherence generated by AI.
Oh god, here we go. At the bottom of this article:
" This article was written using artificial intelligence (AI). All content taken from the AI is checked by the editorial team."
I think so. Porn is ripe for disruption.
And there are already a few experiments with AI games.
We already get AI recommended news feeds. It would not take much to start introducing a few AI generated articles based on what is known about you and fine-tune AI generated content directly for you.
Just think of all the crap that currently exists on tiktok and spammy engagement-seeking click-bait sites. We already have the technology to create these stories and tiktoks automatically.
I agree with you in general about disruption, but not about porn and tik tok in a binary way. In fact, the more AI will embed itself in our lives, the more we’ll value “human” generated content. I think onlyfans is a good template for what’s coming: AI generated “chat” while the visuals are real humans (whatever “real” means in the porn business though).
Already being replaced by AI generated girls, perfect in any way the AI chicks will do anything to anything, Want alien tentacle girls? No problem.
I think that porn is going to be one of the next things on the list of AI´s progress.
You’re talking about the one case with the Spanish company that revealed it? Aitana? This is different as it’s pretty obvious to the naked eye, pun intended, that this is AI. You’d immediately notice it in her Instagram reels.
All a matter of perspective.
Remember when the first flat tv´s came to market.? A lot of people complained that the image was too vibrant and too sharp and looked totally weird, now they are accepted and if you were to look at a CRT TV you would think it was fuzzy and have a low quality picture.
I think it will be similar with the AI porn, as soon as you get used to it you won´t want to watch humping meat bags ever again.
And I don´t think it too far fetched to claim that one day you may be able to pick and mix your very own build a chick after your own preferences.
No, I don’t remember that at all. And even if that happened here and there it was not a mass event. And even if it was a mass event I dont see how this is linked to an AI generated model
I am getting more ai-genreated visuals on my social media feed. There was one photo about life in Switzerland showing some amazing landscape views. People responded (or was it ai comments?) with raving views and longing to see Switzerland themselves.
I am sure that photo was not taken in Switzerland and suspect it was an ai-generated visual of what a landscape view could look like.
I look forward to a global label declaring a photo/text/etc being ai generated. Of course, if it is a collaboration between ai with some human editing, we will no longer know what is real and what is fantasy.
It’s all a Bohemian Rhapsody.
One of the big problems already is AI generated content polluting the internet. I already see a lot of such content (also known as slop) and when looking for the answer to something it is frustrating to find such slop which appears plausible at first glance, but is actually wrong.
Some others already commented that it is hard to know that the answer given is wrong without being knowledgable in that area as the answers are given with confidence and well-written. This might be problematic for those who are not experts in the areas that they are seeking answers.
That’s a very interesting topic: verisimilitude. There are 2 ways we accept something as “real”. We know the real thing, then see a photo of it and we tell “it’s real”. Or, the thing is so well crafted that we accept it in spite of not existing in reality, or not possible to exist in reality. The 2nd case is the foundation of fiction, from literature to cinema.
But, no big problem. Real life is slow paced, boring, confusing, and full of inconsequential events. If the thing in front of us is interesting, compelling, or it it is just what we were looking for, or everything is useful and makes sense…it’s the time to distrust
Well it was massive enough to be remarked upon.
What I meant is how something that was considered strange very quickly became mainstream and I suppose that will happen with AI porn.
When was the last time you watched a crt telly?
As Lumi is interconnect to the house Al the PS5 is locked until he does his homework and a note is sent to his personal file for future employers to access.
And yet, if I remember correctly, you were the first to post chatgpg texts on here. The fact that you declared them as such did not make me feel better either.
in short: if it’s too good to be true.
When I use ChatGPT, I review and edit the output. I don’t use it blindly.
