Can the gardening enthusiasts here tell me where I can get saplings ( or seeds?) of this plant? Google tells me it's hawthorn (crataegus monogyna).

Assuming this is the same plant – Eingriffelige Weißdorn (Crataegus monogyna) – it looks like you can get 25 seeds for quite cheap on ebay, with fast shipping from Germany:

Hawthron is also nice as a small tree.
Hauenstein looks rather expensive and these appear to be much cheaper here: https://www.garmundo.ch/eingriffeliger-weissdorn.html especially if you are planting a long hedge. However, look at the delivery costs.
Just yesterday I started ripping out a buchs hedge because these are now attacked by a caterpillar (Buchsbaumzünsler) and am going to replace it with pyracantha but I may well now mix in some hawthorn.
