What's the historical price of heating oil in Switzerland? I went to reorder oil and noticed the price had doubled from the last time I refilled!

Yep, same here! As you can see, price is cheaper if you buy large amounts. We have a local coop of neighbours and we always buy in large bulk, about 50000 litres at a time.

Well, few want to buy Russian crude - and then the little that gets shipped is then difficult to actually deliver:

At the same time, OPEC does not want to increase production, apparently.
You can gamble and wait some more. But the price may just as well explode even higher yet.

I'm going to buy now. I mentioned on another thread that I thought there were structural reasons for the oil price to go higher and the russia conflict has just added a bump to that.
I don't believe OPEC has the ability to actually increase production substantially. Added to that, years of underinvestment, ESG concerns and shift to returns to shareholders vs capex points to increased oil prices ahead.

yeah, wheat futures already went crazy. i'm guessing planting season in ukraine isn't going to take place and usual exports are/will be interrupted. i think russia and ukraine are 1st and 5th biggest wheat exporters.
i'm expecting future food riots and colour revolutions in countries sensitive to wheat prices.
