First of all, allow me to introduce myself. I am Shishir from India. I did my bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Events Management in Switzerland. I am a fresh graduate, currently back in India after my B permit expired in September 2021. My main goal is to get back into Switzerland to live and work there. I am aware of the immigration policies of the Swiss Government (such as manager or specialist work visa roles). As a non-EU citizen, it makes it even harder. I am looking for work in Hotels mainly in the events and banquet department. I am also willing to learn German. As I continue with my French. This pandemic third wave, it is making it even harder for me. It is affecting me a lot. Please do let me know what are the possibilities to get a job in a hotel in Switzerland. Due to the corona virus, there is not much on offer here in switzerland in the hotel industry, because most of the events and meetings have been cancelled or will happen online.
Due to the fact that you are indian and your knowledge of the local language is pretty slim, as well the restrictions of quota for permits make your wish to work here , slightly impossible.

I worked 12 years in the hotel industry , current openings are mainly in the
alpine destinations, where you have to work night and day with a lot of unpaid overtime. The city destinations like zurich or geneva suffer a lot from corona , because there is nothing happing to attract visitors in the winter months.
Yes, right now it is tough due to the current crisis we are facing. All odds are against me at the moment.
Yes, I do have a year of experience in Hotels, I worked in Portugal and Belgium, with two big brands, Hilton and Marriott, mainly in Food and Beverage Department. I was thinking about working in a different country and then hopefully moving back to Switzerland after gaining some experience in both languages and the hospitality industry.
