Hilary Mantel has passed away:

Best known (recently at least) for the Wolf Hall trilogy, my favorites were perhaps ‘An Experiment In Love’ and ‘The Giant, O’Brien.’

She could be polarizing at times in interviews, but certainly hers was an important literary voice, one that will be much missed.

Like a lot of people .. I tore through the first one.. struggled a bit with the second and due to the long gap couldn't get going with the third one.

But will always be grateful for Wolf Hall.

(Also, a great but rare example of one sex accurately portraying the motivations and behaviours of the other)
