Housewarming party - help!

No kids - almost all of the people attending don't have kids yet. I think I'm secretly afraid of kids, so that works out well

And Pinwheels are basically stuffed and rolled tortillas with cream cheese and cut in small pieces. Super easy to make, they look good, and are easy to eat. I'm thinking of accompanying them with Salsa, which in turn will work well with the chips too.

I believe I have about 5 or 6 Swissies attending - the rest are a mix of English, South African, and Brazilian. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it goes!

Conflozed is a private caterer who just did the food for an Apero for me for 30 people.

Take out the stress and PM him, he was great and such good value....

And a pot of curry isnt messy?

Oh my bad, I thought you wanted something quick, hence the Dominoes suggestion. Good luck with the new menu!

Make your own pizza. Go buy one large square sheet of ready made dough. Place on baking sheet/tray. Throw on toppings keeping it quite dry so as not to be messy. Bake giant square pizza in oven. Use pizza wheel/scissors to cut into small squares and put on plate. 60 seconds prep, no hassle, no mess, cheap, tasty.

Oh no, thank you for the suggestion. Truth be told, I didn't even know they have Dominoes here! I've gone with Pizza Hut and Papa Johns in the past back home many times, but Dominoes makes me cringe like nothing else can. Maybe it had to do with reading about what some of their employees added to the pizza and were caught on camera doing so...

That's what I've decided to do - Cornflooze was kind enough to offer me some suggestions so am working with what him, and others here, have recommended!

I've heard lots of stuff about KFC too but I am still a sucker for their chicken. Nom nom

Never mind, my lot are quite used to adult functons and will even put on a little show, maybe sing Edelweisse for the Swissies. You`ll love it.

Here's what the final menu looks like:

- yogurt and cucumber dip

- sour cream and pesto dip

- eggplant dip

- tartar dip

- guacomole

- pinwheels

- banana bread

- tomato bread, pita bread, cheese, fruits, chips, chopped veggies, etc for the dips

- 3 pesto and cheese pizzas

- and maybe a 4th baguette pizza, haven't decided if I need one or not yet

I hope this is enough for about 15 people - will come back tomorrow and let you all know how it went. Thanks again for all your help!

So the party was a lot of fun, and the food was well appreciated! I ended up with a little too much food, but that's because I doubled all the original quantities, fearing mass starvation ;-) I decided to make bruscetta and pesto pizza at home, and everyone loved it. Here's a picture of the spread:

Homemade tomato bread and peta, Veggies, crackers, yogurt and cucumber dip, pesto and sour cream dip, homemade pesto and veggie pizzas, guacomole and tacos, cheese, homemade banana bread, and pinwheels, and assorted bruscetta

Thanks again for all your suggestions!

Damn girl! Looks great! Glad it turned out as well as you had hoped. :]
