Triggers are if you suddenly receive cash from a foreign bank account, a flagged account, unusually high amount etc.

That's a certainty.

Raiffeisen for instance says 0.96 / 1.04 while the market rate is 1.00, so you lose 4% each time you buy or sell $cash from/to them. That won't be too different from what other banks charge. Their difference for electronic exchange is half that, but you'll get a clearly better price with Wise still (like 0.7% cost).

Agreed , but you don’t have to declare this.. Only required to declare >10k currency at customs and you/they verify the source
