How to deal with noisy party from neighbors?

Yes, watched some of it but missed a few bits so will watch it again. Thanks for reminding me.

while I'm at it, here's another one, completely off topic, Putin interviewed in french. Very interesting IMHO to those who like to also hear the other side:

I empathise with poster, as I lived once in a neighbourhood in the U.K. where one family kept everyone awake most week ends till 3.00 a.m. and quite a few week days too. They were a bunch of thugs who were very intimidating and violent if one dared to ask them to keep the noise down, and the police were not very willing to get involved.

Some nice families could not take it and had to move in the end.

It is reasonable to expect the odd party at week ends till perhaps 1.00 a.m., then I think it becomes a serious interference with one's right to a peaceful life if you are kept awake all night. Switzerland has good laws and it is a shame if they cannot be implemented due to staff shortages in the police.

On the other hand, I could not help smile when I drove past the Lake banks the other night, with all the fairground rides and loud music...right in front of all the luxury hotels...it would piss me off if I had paid several 1000s CHF for a night! At least, it shows that night time nuisance is democratic and affecst even the wealthiest...at least in Geneva!
