Hello there! I'm a 22 Italian guy that moved to Chiasso and works mainly remotely, I was wondering what is the best way to make new friends. I've been here since October and went to Lugano multiple times but it looks so hard!
Meetups, cooworking, I bet it's not a rocket science that to make friends one needs to meet people regularly.
Going to the office instead of remote working could definitely help to make social contacts.

There are various expat groups on Facebook specifically for the Ticino region and they are often organizing activities. The language for posting is English but clearly that isn't an issue for you.
A group event (they have dinners, etc) might be a way to make new friends.
On this forum there aren't many members living in Ticino and there haven't been any meet ups organized to date.
