Also feel this is a massive over-reaction to this. As if no one EVER lied about their affairs to their bosses before.
Shame really. He’s a nice guy. I worked with him occasionally back when he was the booking clerk for Outside Broadcasts Radio. Whenever we needed a mobile studio truck to do an outside broadcast somewhere in the UK it was Philip I spoke to about our requirements.
The boy friend is probably pregnant and making a fuss about it
As I understand there were two issues.
1. He lied
2. He was having an affair with a man much younger than him, in a work situation where the balance of power was very uneven.
It's further snowballed because it seems everyone lied when asked about it and it only came to light when the lad involved didn't want to live with the secret any longer. Had he not come forward, it would have been contained. Last week they were still billing Schofield for DOI and other gigs he'd been signed for. Not now.
It's very hard to keep these things quiet for ever and there are a lot of big egos in that industry...
And since it has now become a requirement that British celebrities must be as pure as the driven snow I expect we'll hear a lot more 'revelations' in the coming months...
I suspect Eamonn Holmes is putting a big target on his back for whoever is coming after him....

There was a lot of lying and covering up going on so there should be a lot more heads than just Schofield’s on the chopping block if you ask been.
He’s not helped of course by his brother being found to be a nonce at the same time as all this came to like. I don’t think the timing was coincidental.
