Anybody using europass(european union's) template for writing a cv?
Hi All,
My husband is planning for a new job search in Switzerland. He has 8+ years of experience (5 years in India and 3 years in Switzerland) and his CV got some responses here.
But one of his Swiss friend told him that his resume is not of Swiss format and so the chances of getting rejected is high. But he couldn't help more to edit my husband's resume to Swiss format.
So, could any of you help me by giving a Swiss CV format or any site where I can find one? Thanks.
Can anybody tell me if at the end of a Swiss CV it is necessary to add a line about privacy policies/law (basically a line in which you authorize the use of your personal data)?
This is customary in CVs in certain countries but I do not know about Switzerland and in case, what law should I refer to?
I have the same questions that everyone has asked below but I don't really seem to see any answers.... My job is relocating me to Switzerland in 6 weeks and my husband is working on his CV now. Any advice to make this look to be a Swiss one? We'd like to get his CV out there circulating now in the hopes that he find a job quickly (though we aren't getting our hopes up!)
Just not 100% sure the differences or if there was something that must be included, etc.
Thank you in advance!
@kmcg8r - Get your husband to take a look at the very helpful post of May 31, 2011 by EF member @Mowvich containing a sample CV geared specifically for the Swiss employment market. He can either make the necessary comparisons and adjust accordingly or utilize that template from scratch -
And the good news is...... .
In fact that whole thread - also started by @Mowvich in November 2009 - contains some great tips and pointers regarding the overall job search in Switzerland.
Good luck and all the best to you both.
