Curious if anyone here has good/bad experiences dealing with them?
Thinking of ordering a few computers directly from the online store and just browsed reviews on trust pilot and google to check. Seems like HP in every country has extremely bad reviews both products and customer service. Im hesitating now to order incase of the hassle.
I can't give any advice on HP computers but Interdiscount has a good offer on Asus Zenbooks Flip Um5621A (15.6 screen) for SFr. 849.
My workplace uses HP laptops. I've used a HP zBook laptops for the last 6 years and have been happy with them. The battery life is good and the transition from working on the train (just closing lid) to connecting to a docking station in the office and vice versa worked well.
People commenting on products and support are typically angry, possibly with good reason, but you don't get to balance it with happy customers because they're happily working away.
HP customer service is pretty awful, they never answer questions directly but reply with canned text (could be AI for all the sense it makes). The quality control is also piss poor, I have a year old HP Envy notebook with misaligned hinges . And when I opened it up to upgrade the SSD I was shocked with the shoddy build, black insulation tape used to route wiring and fingerprint smudges on the exposed metal. Its a joke for the premium price you pay
On a much better note, I recently purchased a Lenovo desktop PC and the quality difference is night and day. Its meticulously put together with very little bloatware and my dealings with Lenovo online and their retail partner Digital River have all been good e.g. the price of the machine dropped by €100 two weeks later so I emailed them and they promptly refunded me the difference.
Don’t know if you’re after a laptop or a “proper” PC but we bought 2 HP Omen PC’s 3 years ago via Interdiscount and have had no problems with them at all.
My employer has HP as a preferred supplier - which means I can wave a big stick at their sales reps to get decent service.
I've bought some quite decent kit from them.
No idea how good they are when dealing with ordinary civilians.
My HP from 2007 is still running. However, it's a business model. These days I mostly go with Acers. Made in the other China.
