Iced tea versus other beverages

Sounds good, but (at the risk of sounding nanny-ish) be careful about that glass jug and the boiling water. Last time I followed a similar recipe, I stupidly poured just-boiled water into a normal glass jug and it cracked, spewing the boiling water over my bare feet. Would recommend using a plastic jug or a heavy duty glass measuring jug which are usually boiling water-proof.

thats a good point and sorry to hear about your feet!!!!

happily the jug we use is pretty heavy duty. comments made earlier in the thread seemed to suggest that using plastic jugs carry their own dangers.

In terms of saving both space and cost, we buy our ice tea as a concentrated syrup:

I've never seen this in Switzerland, but it's readily available in France and tastes much nicer than the powdered version. At approximately EUR2.50 per litre of syrup (which makes 9 litres of tea), this works out at around CHF0.30- per litre.

Frankly, I don't mind spending mula on quality. When it comes to health I cherish it the most and willing to provide it with the best nutrients and supplements one can get, with exception to couple of wild nights out every now and again when booze pours from the cask

Not absolutely positive, but I think I may have seen this, or something similar, in Manor. They have syrups that Coop doesn't carry.

Okay, just checked. I have a bottle of Teisseire Liquid Cane Sugar which I bought in Manor (Emmen Center). So they might have other Teisseire products.
