ICU Physiotherapist in Switzerland

I am on the hunt for any ICU physios based in Switzerland!

I am currently working in the ICU setting (NHS/UK) and wondering how likely it is that I would be able to get an ICU job there? Relocating is not something likely to happen quickly, but want to put in the groundwork now to find out what the likelihood is of this becoming a reality over there. If not, am I better off considering an MSK role?

All other physios - have you found the transition easy generally speaking?

Would love to talk to other physio to gather more of an understanding of the day to day life of a physio (hospital, clinic, private) and to start to understand the healthcare system better. I have looked into some resources already, but it would be nice to chat informally with those currently practising.

Thank you.

Hi!

What nationality are you and do you speak any of Switzerland's local languages?

K

Hey, thanks for replying. I am British, and currently learning German, although only just started!

You’d also need to have your qualifications recognised by the Swiss Red Cross before you could be employed here.

Thank you - yes, absolutely. I have read all about that and looked into what is needed to do that.

I am just looking for someone to talk to who has any info regarding ICU physio and to chat through the differences and general day to day stuff, not necessarily information on how to do it.
