One could consider that the OP finds himself in a fundamental error when entering into the contract, in that he would only purchase the benches to the extent that he would also receive a (defect-free) table.
He has two separate contracts. Perhaps he could have gotten something from allowing the cancellation of the table transaction but that's water under the bridge.
Besides, he appears to have picked up the bench already, or will soon-ish.
Can the OP still get out of buying the benches? His best bet...
