If I leave the country do I lose my ID?

Hi Everyone.

Please can somebody help me with the next question?

Currently I’m living in Switzerland with the B permit for 5 more years, but probably (I don’t know yet), I will go back to my country during September to live there again.

My question is the next one. If I go back to my country and I unregister myself at the gemeinde, do I lose my residence permit in Switzerland?

I ask some friends, some of them told me that I will lose it, and many other that I will continue having it and will still available during these 5 more years.

You’re no longer a resident so no, you no longer have a permit/permission to live/work here.
