Frost damage is a potential problem for roof tiles. With global warming less so. You have to assess how much you are paying each year for roof repairs to see what the nett benefits of a long term solution would be. Roofers are not necessarily neutral and a contract for a complete replacement would be very interesting for them. Our roof, tiny in comparison to yours, is 72 years old, also clay tiles. I have had to replace one ridge tile which split. However, I am also going to look carefully at energy saving options which may mean significant changes to the roof.
We live at nearly 1000m in the Jura where it gets really cold and tons of snow. So perhaps more stress on roof tiles than where you live.
