Anyhoo, as an earlier poster stated I do agree that it is bizarre here that people seem to have no ah, respect or consideration for the fact that there might be lots of other peope waiting in line behind them when they are asking they're 100,000s of excrutiatingly detailed questions. It's not bad really, it's just different than what I'm accustomed too. I personally wouldn't take up any more time than in necessary if there were many people waiting behind me.
Ok, the MP3 in question is SANSA C240 . If you can find anywhere on the net which tells you if this product starts from the last song played after it's being switched off, I'll buy you a beer.
I think it is not only the sales/advice guy that should think about the other but also the customer, he could think about it, he is just wasting other people's time with so many questions he can just go to the point and leave the clerk free.
But seems that people here feel they have this right, as they got the sales guy to use his time, and in some cases seems to me that the sales guy even enjoy it.
I remember when I lived in Geneva there was this shop "Infomaniak", so many times during the luch break I went there to buy some PC card or something and had to leave empty handed, because the guys took so much time inquiring any question that could come to their minds to the sales guy that is at the same time the cashier... and he seemed to enjoy be giving advice and explaining complex technical stuff to people that probably only understood 10% of what they were saying, maybe this gave them some feeling of being experts on the matter and useful... but for us ( I am a Telecom/Sotware engineer ) it was just wasted time, and as I said sometimes I just had to leave because my luch break was over and the queue didn't do any progress

I'll have an Erdinger...
But since you've googled for it, I'll buy the beer, just tell me when and how.
It took Google 0.15 seconds to find this review.

This reviewer also dislikes noodles!
Obviously, they may be talking sh*te - I'll let you be the judge of that.
Remember, Google is your friend and the web is often the answer to customer service woes or having to go shopping in the first place.
Beer
oh whatever, a bet is still a bet and I lose. I hear Pickwick serves wicked Erdinger.
That Welsh people can't spell. This is discriminatory.
What do you have against Welsh people?
Cheers (complete with eye contact),

And a post over a year old. This isn't helping the Welsh cause....
Excellent idea - that's why my daughter is good at apologizing - not too little, not too much!
Seriously though, I've been here many years, & have sadly all too often been on the receiving end of Swiss "attitude". Even my Swiss hubby complains about the folks at the P.O. - they are notorious!!!
But I can't say that everything was perfect back in the UK, either.
I always found the north of England a bit friendlier than the south, but that's just my humble opinion........
Where do I start, this would be a dam long entry in the thread. No I'm not a northerner, I'm a southerner or was
I agree in my experiences in the midlands /north and southwest of the UK people are generally friendlier. At least they say hello and make an attempt at conversation. In the South-east (London are in particular) no one talks to anyone unless they really have to in the street. Even if you try and stop someone in the street to ask for directions etc. People think you are either begging, trying to sell them something or trying to mug them.
As for the post office here, I think it has something to do with the job for life attitude. That is once they work for the post office they think they can get away with being rude as they are in the institution now and no one can ever take that away from them.
