Using BNE Europe since many years in Switzerland for data. Cheapest for my usage. I usually buy on black Friday, but I still have a lot left so probably I skip this year.
The one I use in Spain (Digi) is cheaper and includes EU countries but not Switzerland.
Interesting that a Hong Kong company can offer better deals on local networks than the network providers.
I use Mobimatter . Looks like they are on par with BNE.
It is my understanding that these companies buy cheap and unused data connections from all providers around the world and bundle them into a sellable product. No local network provider can do that since they would always be limited to their own network. No customer wants to scroll through each network provider and figure out their current best deals.
Quite common… When I moved to CH, I retained my UK number for a year as it was cheaper than getting a Swisscom SIM at the time.
Still now, I have team-members who use an Indian SIM/number rather than a Swiss one as it’s substantially cheaper.
