Since I have broken my iPhone screen already twice (yes, I am very experienced...) I could recommend this place in Basel http://www.ireparatur.ch/ These guys are really swift and very quick - it took about 24hrs to replace my screen.(costed about 140CHF) Another time I drowned my iphone and brought it to this place, they opened it and managed to back up all my data before it went completely into nirvana. Following this tragic loss, they replaced my iPhone with a completely new one (via Apple) for I think 200CHF.
The second time I broke my screen I went back home for holidays (Austria), went to one of these dodgy turkish second hand phone shops, and they repaired the screen for 50 Euros. Still works today, so whether or not it was some imported non-original screen I don`t know, but it works fine with me and was cheap. :-)
U can buy the repair kit with all the tooling included on eBay for about 20 -25 £ and plenty videos on YouTube.
I replaced my earpiece speaker for £3, most places wanted around 50- 90 chef!
BM, did you get your Iphone fixed at that place in Neuchatel that was recommended? I could send it there for next week. I'd rather have it done sooner if possible though.

I just managed to smash my iPhone. No it wasn't in frustration with one you lot. It feel out of my pocket was I was moving furniture and listening to podcasts.

Yes I did. They repaired it on the spot and it took about 30 minutes. They've moved to a nicer shop across the street now.
Excellent news! Bad news that I have to wait until Monday though. I really miss my iphone.....
