It’s not easy to switch jobs as a non-EU on a tied B permit. Any new employer has to basically go through the same non-EU hiring procedure as your current employer did to be able to hire you over a Swiss/EU national.

There's no guarantee it is tied, but I think if it's only a 1-year permit it very well could be tied. What does the back of your permit say?

Most non-EU Swiss permits will be tied to the employer initially. Very few will get an open B straightaway. And at least you got a B, again most would start on an L permit and it would be a couple of years at least before there’d be a chance to change it to a B permit.
