L-permit post Master program graduation

Dear community,

I have the following questions regarding my situation. Any help or responses are really appreciated

Permit L after graduation: As I am a non-EU coming from a non-privileged country (think US, Canada, Japan...) I understand that I will apply for a permit L which will be valid since the day I receive a confirmation from uni that I have validated all the necessary credits.

However, since the validity of this permit is only 6 months, what will happen if my student B-permit is still valid in the meantime? Will the time on my L-permit be reduced? My last permit was valid from september 2021 until february 2022, and I have not received my renewed B-permit for this year yet, which worries me a lot

As the validity is only 6 months, what will happen if I manage to find an internship that lasts more than 6 months e.g 12 months or 18 months?

Does my employer have to do any paperwork for me?

Does this mean that I can go to the bureau des étrangers of my current canton, hand them the working contract, and extend/convert my jobseeker L permit to a 1y L-permit ?

The reason why I would like to know this is that I'm applying also to smaller companies and start ups for longer internship positions, and these companies probably are not aware of all the particularities of hiring non-EUs, and I really want to be informed about these things if I manage to secure interviews.

I have a connection on linkedin who went through the same process, same universities as me but strangely she skipped answering these questions regarding her permits post-graduation.

Once you graduate it doesn’t matter how much time is left on the student B. You’re no longer a student so it becomes invalid.

The L is effectively a job seeker one and you’d get a new permit when you get a job/internship.

I had this 6-months L after graduation, employer does the work for you. They dont even have to prove they haven't found anyone in CH or EU. The only thing watch for the salary, it cannot be low. They use a sort of a calculator taking into consideration your work experience, level of education and so on. Once you get a job or internship you will get s new permit.
