I'm trying to get a good quality wooden cutting board that can last long. If it was artisanal that would amazing but I guess that would be extremely expensive.
I tried looking on galaxus but I would like to have a look/feel before buying?
Have a look at the Christmas markets in Morges (the fort by the lake) and downtown Lausanne. You might find something that is hand made, good quality and more unique.
From memory I have seen someone selling cutting boards at one of the markets. They may also be doing something at Christmas.
If you would like to go down that route and if you can wait a little until after Christmas, your chances are good that they will have something like that in the sales. But it only starts after Christmas
I am in the process of making some, I will try and post some pictures here. They are individually made depending on what material I have left over from other jobs during the year, price range Chf40 to 80 plus postage if required.
I am looking to get one for Christmas, so if I know I can get yours I would give it priority but if it gets too close to the 25th, I will have to buy it from a shop somewhere.
This summer I had a friend coming in from Brasil and he brought me a Tramontina board and knife...really good quality stuff. Not sure where to get them here but maybe online?
