Yes, and sprinkle some salt and vinegar crisps on it for that delicious crunchy-salty-vinegary-crispy mouthgasm.
right! After all the title is “life is getting tough”
Get thee to Iceland in the UK, which still sells Multipacks of Smith’s salt & shake crisps.
That only came in in (about) the 80s. Back n the 60s it was the little twisted pack. But still never with chips, at least not where I grew up.
The salt pack in crisps disappeared for a few years in the 70s, reappeared a few years later.
Last time I went to Iceland it was still called Bejam…
Them were the good old days.
I was reading an article today and suddenly remembered this dude.
Ha, the article fits perfectly. So, now you know, life is not getting tough in the UK. It’s a few other things…
In doing so, he put an end to the go-to space for offering each other tips on “SEAmaxxing” and “EEmaxxing” (maximizing one’s sexual capital in Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe, respectively) and performing “dating market arbitrage” by vacationing in, or emigrating to, poorer countries where feminism had failed to take root and women were unable to resist the lure of American money and a shot at a green card through marriage. What distinguishes this from sex tourism is its repackaging as a personal accomplishment. Whereas sex tourism is seen as the seedy last recourse for losers who can’t get any in their home country, xenophile pickup artists see themselves as incipient alpha males, wings clipped in their decadent homeland but able, if they are brave enough to take the plunge, to realize their destiny in exotic climes.
So, there’s a new online identity to aspire for
That was the most boring video ever
I didn’t get to 45 seconds.
hahaha, of course. not top entertainment.
Just looking back after a few months to confirm it is indeed the next influencer trend and not a mirror to whatever happens in the UK.
This is anything but a new phenomenon
mail order bride
It ran in the back-ground that’s why it made it to the end.
Was that the same guy as in the video of the first post?
Would you believe guys actually manage to enhance being boring? Wow!
I still believe those Asian woman only hang out with them because they think it’s the language barrier that makes those guys appear so dull but what’s worse, as they probably communicate in English, the poor ladies most likely blame themselves.
Btw. didn’t want to hurt your feelings with my other post, Axa
The standard practice is that the man flies out and spends two weeks a year with a girl, lavishing gifts on her and paying a monthly retainer.
What they don’t appreciate is that the girl is with another different man for the next two weeks and yet another for the two weeks after that.
If holiday dates clash then she runs back to the mountains stating that her mother/aunt/brother is ill.
The girl earns money for her family and the bloke thinks he’s some kind of stud.
It’s prostitution by any other name.
It’s not just men from the UK but also from other European countries including Germany and Switzerland.
No feelings hurt, I’m being derisive too
Yes, same guy as the first one shared by PhilMCR some months ago complaining about how hard life is in the UK.
Successful salesmen package prostitution (as explained by Tom1234) as an aspirational lifestyle in youtube videos. So, maybe it’s easier to understand why the guy was struggling to get ahead in life. It’s not current socio-economical conditions in the UK. It’s just that grifters are neither particularly smart nor hard-working.
I know a few men who do/did that.
Basically it works well until they retire and then their “good news darling I am coming to live with you permanently” crashes and burns
Well, business has long used geographical arbitrage, so it is not surprising that individuals do the same.
I think with women doing better in the workplace, fewer and fewer men are able to offer the traditional role of being the bread-winner and so it is no surprise to me that they might head abroad where their modest savings and income goes much further and is relatively a much better ‘offer’.
Migrants of all kinds and fashions are and have been doing the same since forever.
I like your term though it looks more like economic arbitrage to me (socioeconomic WRT to the clip above).
