Living In Switzerland

...................

Great, that's in German. What does it mean???????

This is an official publication of the Swiss Government. A French version should be available somewhere on the internet.

The gist of it is that returning Swiss citizens are, in principle, entitled to unemployment benefits. The ifs-and-buts, how much, how long, etc. are briefly covered in the leaflet.

Yes, probably on the site itself. It would be nice if you posted the French or Italian versions or under what section this can be found? What is the title of the document?

The OP's husband is a Francophone returning Swiss, probably to the French speaking part, so this document could be very interesting for him.

You're "comfused"? Well so am I.

What's happened to British education? Perhaps your French or German is better...

I found the document on the site www.treffpunkt-arbeit.ch catering to teutonic unemployed.

My French is not good enough to search and retrieve it for our francophone job seeker.

Thanks. I had tried that but it didn't work. It works with your link though.

Must....

I moved to Switzerland recently.

All I can say is that it is different, but all and all, I enjoyed staying here very mcuh except I do not understand their language.

Although it was mentioned in some other threads that living here is expensive, I do not agree totally. We should not take things out of context and compare orange to apple.

With a broader dimention, living in Switzerland could be happier and not so expensive.
