Any one can advise how to find a host family? School doesn't help at all for this, just said, do it yourself

My son, a 16 y.o second year high school boy ( from canton de Vaud, Switzerland) is looking for a host family in Zürich or Basel. He is a French native speaker.
Can't help at all sorry. But how ridiculous, you'd think the schools would team up and do direct swaps with pupils going in the opposite direction
Maybe join Basel and Zürich FB groups and try to find parents in a similar situation whose child you could host at the same time??
