Hi everyone, I just joined this group in the hopes of networking with fellow kababayans in Switzerland. I've been living in Zurich since 2012 and have focused on German classes for a year and a half. Now I'm ready to be back in the workforce, but having some challenges. Any leads would be greatly appreciated and I'm open to start anew. More than anything, good company with fellow Pinoys would be fun! Advanced happy holidays to everyone!
Hi, I just registered in this forum today and saw your post (from long time ago). Are you serious about learning Tagalog? I can help you out but I'm not sure how that would fit in the schedules.
Hey guys, I'm a Manila-born, half-Filipino, half-Australian 28 year old girl. I moved to Australia with my parents when I was 12 and I moved to Switzerland to marry my partner in 2012. I live in Winterthur and am in Zurich often, I would love to meet some other Filipinos in the area
Sorry just had time to reply now. Where in Zurich do you live? Have you found work yet? Me, still searching. =) But we'll all get there, I hope, in time. Tiyaga lang and pasensya. =)
Hi steph! I also live in Winterthur, since November last year. I'm a preschool teacher and I'm also looking for fellow Filipinos to hang out with, how about we set up a meet or something? I'm also in Zurich central often so to others who'd like to join...
Hello. Any filipinos in Lausanne area? (age 19 and above) Looking for some friends to hangout with. Salamat po! Or do you know any teenagers in Lausanne?
It seems like everyone live so far away from each other. Switzerland is after all not a very big country. So it doesn't take that long to get from one place to another.

Please help guys..
May nakasakayan ako kagabi sa five-star bus from alaminos-cubao.. i heard that he's going to Switzerland.. hindi ko siya nakausap kasi he's busy talking to somebody in his phone. tapos upon searching the internet, napadpad po ako dito.. sana po matulungan po ninyo ako..salamat po..mabuhay po kayo..
Firtst thing to do is to apply for a job with the companies that are already situated here in Switzerland. Your profession in IT would be a good starting point for it is one of the in demand job here not only in Switzerland but europe wide. Upon saying this also means that you have also numbers of competitors to deal with. With my personal experience, the swiss government is very conservative of letting companies to hire non-EU professionals. There should be an special qualification that need to be presented which will attest that no one among the swiss or EU citizen possesses this qualification. I would say that living in Switzerland is a way to expensive that one could ever imagine.
Keep it up of being reselient and try harder... dream farther!
Hello I am a filipino studying currently in Europe and I am looking at the possibility of doing my MSc thesis in Lausanne. Firstly, I would like to know how much is it for a student to live comfortably in Lausanne? I have seen some estimates over the internet but I really wanted to ask primarily to a fellow filipino. Secondly, I would like to know the way of living in Lausanne. I really have no idea about Switzerland, and one of my motivation is to eventually pursue a PhD there. I appreciate any replies!
