The tutorials I followed were Win 7 x64 VMWare on similiar h/w to mine...It cabbie done, I just need review my handling of the DMG conversion or torrent a pre-done ISO.
I'm missing my "Save As" option in Pages. This new fangled Autosave and "Save a Version" crap is complicating something that wasn't broken in the first place.
Sounds like Office 2007. Grrrr!
now I'm convinced not to upgrade my macs to Lion.
It's auto save on a whole new level..! It uses the Time Machine interface which allows you to look at (and use) every change you ever made in a document. You can drag-n-drop items out of previous edits even if they aren't being used in the current version of your document.
Check it out: http://www.apple.com/macosx/whats-new/auto-save.html
But it's just so unnecessary. Best way right now is to "Duplicate" and then rename the file after you've done that. Pain.
This new autosave feature has become a bit of a marmite thingy amongst the Apple cult community. You either love it or hate it.
I can see where it's coming from, but I'm not entirely convinced it fits into the way I work.
