Pusha should arrive with us from Romania the first weekend of September. We've no idea who it was, but somebody donated $250.00 to her transport fund. If it was someone here, thank you so much!
I know hat you mean about a scam, I am a very suspicious person when it comes to someone asking to send money to Romania to pay for vets treatment for a dog, but we checked up enough and Christina and her boyfriend are driving over in a few weeks with Pusha.
Love the new photo of Nelson, he looks so happy and healthy. I hope he has recovered from his shock .
I have been following Pusha's story on Facebook, the original photo of her is heartbreaking, but there are some fantastic videos of her too, take a look!
Looking forward to hearing that she has arrived in her new home and has at last met her true love Nelson.
Pusha arrived late on Saturday night and it's been an eventful few days. Because Pushas back is broken she has no life in her tail, which is where much of a dogs communication comes from. Also, she was wearing her harness and wheels which were confusing to our dogs and made it difficult for them to smell her so she wasn't welcomed much at first, to say the least.
But today we started to introduce them separately and her and Nelson soon hit it off. We have never seen Nelson so exhausted, Pusha has so much energy and love of live. Shame on those folk who say dogs like this would be better off put to sleep. Or murdered.
Bless you, GG. The world needs more people like you and your wife.
Dogs are amazingly adaptive. Whether on two, three, or four legs, or on wheels, with or without sight, with or without hearing - the joy with which our furry friends meet life head on should be a lesson to us all.
Every dog deserves a chance, and a loving home.
How lucky that Pusha found her way to you - and you to her.
Wishing Pusha - and the whole Grapefruit family - all the very best.
I have just watched the video of Pusha and King Nelson. They are made for one another! Bless you and your wife Grumpy for giving these delightful dogs a loving home. I wish you ALL lots of happiness for the future.
Christina (the Vet who rescued Pusha) and her boyfriend Octav are leaving tomorrow and Pusha is staying with us. Octav has been helping me for 3 days with some building jobs on the farm and all day today Nelson, Pusha and our two Rotties have been happily playing together and watching us working on their new garden.
Pusha is now very much part of our family and I know there will be some tears when our Romanian friends head off tomorrow. Pusha has so much energy and love of life, she can teach all of us a lesson in what is important in life.
Here's just 2 minutes of the chaos that has been constant all day today. I'm exhausted by it all, but also very happy!
