Do I wait until I get the official letter from Kt Aargau, or should I approach my local TCS garage before getting the letter?
My car should be due for the first MFK soon - and I've heard I can do it at TCS.
Quite the opposite - I think you can only do it at TCS if you do it *before* you receive the letter. Once you've received the letter, you need to do it with the cantonal officials.
Are you sure? I'm trying to book a slot at TCS, and have this page:
My German isn't great, but that's asking for the official MFK request, no? That if I want to do it at TCS voluntarily I need to call them?
So a little Googling reveals that TIS.
It looks like it depends by canton. In some, you need to do it before you receive the notice; in others, it is only after you have received the request. Best advice? Contact the TCS in your canton and ask.
