CoopMobile offers 3 months for free (limit 300 MB/month), it seems the cheapest option for people staying less than a year in CH. After the 3 months period you can either say goodbye to them or pay 9.90 CHF/month for 300MB.
yes i tried but each time you pay even with surf free, and if you call hotline they lie you and say you get over 300 Mb when i have used only 5 mb.They suck and hotline is awful.
Does that mean that calls, internet usage, is free. I just pay 1 frank per day for all services-internet, SMS, phone calls. Or is it 1 Frank per day for each service?
How is the Internet with Sunrise Dataflat with you? With me, it is very bad, I rarely get 3G and am most of the time on EDGE, and often do not even get data coverage
No they are not. By default, you pay per minute or per sms.
that depends mostly on where you are, geographically. or it could be your phone. I am usually happy with the Sunrise signal at work. Not so great where I live... and that's true of every network in the world. Coverage varies...
Mine stays connected all the time. Or it might actually disconnect on its own and reconnect when I need it. I would only turn off data on your phone if you do not want to pay that day.
The moment your phone connects to the data network, it will cost you CHF 1. Usage after that during the day (day starts at midnight btw, so from 00.00 till 23.59) is included in that CHF 1.
If you think you won't need Internet for the day, I would turn it off the night before. I am not sure which phone you have, but I have an iPhone and I get for example push notifications. This means that I do not even have to do anything before data will be used by my phone. Depending on your phone, this may vary of course.
I have the same issue - I can never update or download anything from the App Store (I'm using an iPhone). That's why I asked if anyone else is experiencing similar (slow) speeds, apparently I am not the only one.
About the turning on/off of the Internet, you should have a setting where you can turn on (or off) 'cellular data', I am not sure where to find this setting on an Andriod phone though.
