Motorcycle driving

Hello, people,

I heard that some people can own the motorcycles at age of 16, I was thinking - how? Now as I am 16 and few months old, I would like to know how to get a motorcycle license and importantly where? I tried to ask some people who ride the motorcycles, they replied: "Just pass the test in Zurich". Currently, in my school, there is available registration for some "Aid". Is it worth it to sign up? I really would like to learn as much as possible about owning a motorcycle as it would make easier for me to travel.

We don't drive a motorcycle, we ride it.

Good luck

Thanks

Really? I drive a motorbike and ride a car...

I always ride a bus, otherwise the driver gets very annoyed...

As you are 16 you can ride a small 50 ccm one. Not much, but at least it brings you from A to B and back.

You normally have to pass the test in your canton of residence, unless you ask for an exemption.

I do not know what that "aid" thingy is. First Aid course? Nothelfer? Then yes you will need to do that before you can apply for a learners permit.

Here the steps:

Do the Nothelfer course.

Learn for the theory exam: Here all who have the official questions: https://asa.ch/dienstleistungen/theoriefragen/ You will need Kat. B. Here an offer which is unofficial, free but still good https://simpli.ch/

Apply for a learners permit: Need a photo, and a sight test which can be done at most optician shops.

Pass the theory exam.

Receive learners permit.

Start riding.

Do the basic rider course within four months of getting learners permit.

Pass the practical exam.

PS: Here some hints and tips regarding the practical test:
