Moving to Buchs SG or nearby area

I am staying in northen Switzerland for last 3 years.

For the new employer in Buchs SG , I am looking to relocate with my husband and 10 months old daughter.

Are any of you already in Buchs or nearby area?

Any recommendations on area for residence considering ease of living, accessibility for daily life essentials and activities for baby?

What are best gemeinde to live from tax saving perspective?

Is there any shop for Indian grocery?

Lived here for the last ∼16 years.

Places to live: depends a lot on what kind of place you plan to rent/buy, how much you want to commute, lifestyle needs, etc.

Regarding taxes, you can do a quick calculation using the Kanton SG's "official"

Unfortunately I don't know about Indian groceries, as I have never seen any around, but that might be because I haven't looked.

There’s a good one near the church in Buchs. Fresh herbs etc. mostly arrive Friday afternoon.

Thank you Flakk.. can you please send me the name of the shop if possible. I plan to visit Buchs this weekend to get a feel of the city.. May be I try to check it out.

It's on the corner of Kirchgasse and Moosweg, seems the address in Kirchgasse 5. Name is "Dilaxana Asian Shop"

There's actually another at St. Gallerstrasse 27 in the Falken building but he doesn't have anywhere near the product range.
