It’s not quite that simple. Since you’re not married, she would need to come here under a concubine permit and not all cantons issue that type. As far as I know only Vaud, Geneva, Neuchatel and Zurich do.
For this type of permit you would need to prove a long standing, permanent relationship which ideally will lead to marriage. You would also have to agree to be financially responsible for her for 5 years.
probably easier there. they will recognize it here and you can apply as married from the start.
maybe its not super romantic but it would certainly make life easier. i'm assuming since she's pregnant you are planning on at least making a good go of a life together so why not?
She would need a fiancée permit which would allow her to be here for some time before the wedding to help with the preparations.
How soon this could all happen would depend on what paperwork you/she needs to submit and how long it takes to be processed, assuming there are no holdups.
Ah okay. I interpreted "If either of you are not Swiss citizens, you must be lawfully resident in Switzerland at the time of marriage." as we both have to be resident. But one is enough? Thank you
