ETA:
It seems you can't move outside of your Canton during the full procedure, at least not outside of Kanton Zürich. But to be sure you should ask the authorities anyway.

I have got a date (in April) for the interview, but I have not received the 30 pages booklet what you mentioned....
Do you still have it?
Don't think I had it anymore anyway... I guess it went into the "Papiersammlung" after I got the passport.

What I found useful was the historical walks on the Stadt Zurich website that take in different areas of town. I was able to talk at length about the history at my interview which impressed the interviewer.
The other thing that helped was being involved in different clubs / societies - like the Fasnacht clique I take part in.
Cheers,
Nick
We'll see what comes of this
** Facilitated naturalization processed via Bern, with Zürich as the Heimat but Basel as my current residence. Complicated!
It was the interview!!
I was 100% not ready for this. My mind was elsewhere, I haven't been speaking much German lately since I haven't been leaving the apartment much this year, I have a hard time on the phone anyway due to the lack of visual cues...it was awful.
The woman explained that they would not be hosting personal interviews due to the Covid situation and she proceeded to ask me country-specific questions, asked about my hobbies and social life, how things are with my husband and our employment...By the time I hung up the phone I was practically in tears, fearing that I had done so poorly.
When Dan came home and I explained what happened, he too was shocked. His colleagues later said not to worry: because this is a facilitated process, they really just want to make sure that our relationship is legit and we can support ourselves.
The interviewer will pass my information on to her colleagues in Bern and I will hear from them at some point.
Pressing thumbs / crossing fingers!
Hey, at least we're employed
I was in BL. It took about 45 minutes.
At first: lots of general question (why would you like to be Swiss?, Do you have Swiss friends? , What is your hobby?, etc....)
And then I got the following questions. It was a lot, but sometimes I had to answer with only a word.....

Thank goodness I didn't have to go through THAT! Then again, I suspect that you had some time to prepare, since you knew that you had an interview scheduled But even so.... good luck! I hope that the results are in your favor!
