I am not sure I understand the wording in postfinance documents, but here it is:
- negative interest rates seem to be 0.75% above 100k, calculated per account
https://www.postfinance.ch/en/privat...asset-fee.html
- their banking package costs 5CHF per month, with such fee calculated per customer relationship
https://www.postfinance.ch/en/privat...or-adults.html
Does it mean that I can simply open another account with them to avoid the 100k fee?
Am I missing something?
It’s not per account, they add everything that qualifies as cash together.
I say if that's a problem open a bank account somewhere else, those guys don't charge negative interest (and if you have enough in your account it's free with maestro card too):
https://www.bcv.ch/en
https://www.ca-nextbank.ch/en/en
Both you can open online / per post - no in person visit in branch is needed.
So if my wife and me have an account, and I have my own individual account, these are two customer relationships?
Meaning that I would have to pay a "banking package" for each of them?
