The chances of that stopping will improve if you increase their costs, which happens once you start to waste every caller's time. Time is money.
And forbid Assura the selling of your data, a simple call should do.
I think this is very sound advice & perhaps the deserved center of attention for this Post.
Every potential "scam call" IMHO needs filtering before actual garbaging. Some take seconds, others sadly longer.
"Trick 1" provides one with an early warning sign,
"Trick 2" - arguably and in my opinion - is a golden rule (if call is potentially to be taken seriously)
"Trick 3 provides more security.
For me, thank you original Op. & all, keep safe.
Very good advice, yes. Except, perhaps, the part I've marked in red, because one of the scammers' measures may very well be to get you to call back. If you do, then they've verified (at least to some degree) that you're a person, and potentially scam-able. After all, they're trying to eliminate those who just don't enter into any interaction with them, at all, so they can hone in on one who will return their call, since that person is already opening a door to them, so to speak.
