My daughter (who is over 25) has a full Swiss driving license category B. She wants to get an e-scooter (seated).
I’ve been trying to understand the information from comparis , but it’s not clear. I tried the German version and it’s equally unclear to me.
What I understand is that she can get a vehicle up to 11kw (equivalent 125cc), and start riding around on it now.
She should apply for a provisional cat. A1 license. She needs a recent eye test.
She has four months to complete the foundation course
She has two years to take the test and convert the provisional cat. A1 license to a full A1 license.
I have I got it right?

Since she already has B, with the A1 she wouldn't need to take an exam, just the 12h course. If she doesn't need more than 11 kW it seems like the easier option?
It does. So after the 12 hour course, she'll get a full A1 permit?
You never know, she may decide to go a for a full A. And prematurely age me...
You can no longer go to full A, you must first do A-restricted (35kW) and then after passing the exam for that wait two years.

Just to say, she got her e-bike. It’s this one and is blue. She’s done the first part of her foundation course, has all the protective gear, and absolutely loves biking now.
In a 50 zone a car was too close to her. When it went to 80, she figuratively put her foot down and accelerated away, leaving the trailing car in the dust. When he eventually caught up, he was far more respectful about distance!
I’m kind of tempted to do the course myself.
