As I suspected the company you are signed up with in a Egypt (in my opinion) is trying to take advantage of you. They are setting the terms based on your salary in Egypt which I can imagine is clearly in the low $10k range and basically pimp you out to European companies for just below market rate. This allows them to milk fat margins from your daily rate for 3 years with a potential for another 2 years. The fear of being asked to pay this 50% indemnity will keep you trapped for as long as they deem necessary.
Who said 180k Is the annual gross salary?!!!
If so I would have discarded this clause.
