Non EU B-Permit Extension on RAV?

I've browsed all the threads on the forum regarding permit renewals for Non-EU nationals who lose their jobs but are eligible for RAV. Most of the information seems to be quite dated and with different/unclear outcomes. I'm interested in recent experiences.

Does Canton Zurich renew B-Permits for Non-EU nationals who are eligible for RAV?

If I have an untied B-Permit as a Non-EU, does this mean I can apply for any job in any sector and canton in Switzerland?

My situation: Non-EU, untied to employer B-Permit in Zurich.

I still have my job, but with impending layoffs, I'm interested in recent experiences so I know where I stand (I have 15 months until I can get my C-Permit).

Yes, if your permit is untied you can apply for any job and the permit should be renewed if you’re on RAV far as I know.

Obviously start applying for jobs asap.
