Dear fellow members,
Do you know what type of B permit is given to a PhD student in a company? The contract is limited for 4 years and it is co-supervised with an ETH prof. The salary comes from the company not ETH.
Type of B permit I mean as a student (study B permit) or normal employee B permit?
Regards,
Pdada
Iirc PhD’s get a student one.
Are you matriculated as a student at ETH?
Then it'll be a student b permit.
e.g. My salary as a PhD was paid by the canton and federal agencies and not the university.
I am still considering this position, don't know exactly whether I will be matriculated as a student or not.
Thanks
Hi,
Did you able to learn which permit B it is? My wife has a similar situation so we are not sure about accepting a position for an industry funding Phd if the permit is going to be student B.
Thank you
