[noob] How to fill in the Bankkonto Mieter?

I got a slip to send to my new landlord.

What's the purpose of Bankkonto Mieter form and what do I put here if I have only one checking account (recently opened)? I know my iban.

Should I put my current home address to Postcheckkonto ? That will change in two weeks when I move to the new apartment.

Bankkonto is that bank account number?

Agency is slow to respond, so I though about asking here.

Not sure if I understand your question.

But usually the landlord sends you a pay slip to a seperate Mietzinskautionskonto. This is an account that they have set up with a bank in your name. You normally pay in an amount between 2 and three months rent which is afterwards blocked. You can only withdraw the money if both you and the landlord release it. Its called a Mietzinsdepot.

Another possibility - landlord send you a form for authorisation of direct debit (LSV+). But if you pay it yourself, I guess you can ask for a payslip / bank details of landlord.

Yes, the IBAN number.

Consider uploading an anonymised picture of the letter or the form (ideally both). It's not immediately clear why they would need your bank account, perhaps for a potential bayback of any surplus balance for the "NebenKosten" (heating etc) but usually the monthly contribution is on the low end anyway.
