Well I went there today. Nice place. Very nice beach and nature resort. A nice alternative to Zürich lake and its only 30 with the train.
It's actually difficult to understand the aversion that most people have to nacked bathing. It maybe say's something about the person themselves. How they see themselves?

Could also be just cultural. Most of the "Oh my god, there is a no-bathing suit rule in the sauna here" ranty threads come from either American or British members on here. On the whole, mainland Europeans don't seem to give two hoots about being naked on a beach or in a sauna.
Sorry if that sounds a bit "sweeping generalisation" but having spent a good few years on this forum, that's how it appears to me.
Having said that, I am the exception to my own rule - I'm a Brit but not bothered in the least about being naked in a sauna but maybe I've just spent too long on this side of the English Channel.
Err... you mean in full view of the restaurant, where the ferry is passing in and out and there are dozens of families frolicking?
Years ago I started a thread on the open changing area and open showers at a gym and got nearly lynched for it. My opinion is still the same: Run around naked whenever and wherever you wish, but don't force me to do the same. I wouldn't mind being at a nudist beach as long as I can keep my clothes on. But I guess that's not allowed.

motherhen why don't you go to Chollermühle in Zug? Takes 35 minutes from Zürich. Train to Zug then 2 minutes with train to Chollermühle. Nice place.Great nature resort. Best early morning. One does not necessarily go for the people. One goes to enjoy naked bathing and lying in the sun spacing out on one's new foun d freedom! Here's a warning!
