In theory, I should be a Swiss citizen now, but I have no Swiss passport and no ID card saying that I am Swiss (just a residence permit).

It seems that once the decision granting me citizenship enters in force, I can be entered into the "infostar" civil registry by the cantonal authority .
Once that is done , I can then ask for a passport or identity card.
My question is, how do I know when I can been entered into the registry?
It has been over 5 months now. I know things take time to obtain citizenship (after all, I know how long it took between submitting all my document, to getting the interview, to getting this decision), but is this normal?
Will I be notified when I have been entered into the registry, or do I have to routinely check and see if I have been entered? If so how do I do that?
All I can say is that in VD when did normal naturalisation, the official letter and document was accompanied by a form letter indicating how to get the official ID card/passport through the usual channels.
The process of getting the passport/ID I think it is more or less the same in all Cantons, so you can try going through the electronic system of GE, input your details and see if you can make a rdv. If you get blocked in that process, there should be a number or email to contact through them. Your Swiss spouse should be well versed in this process.
I had to get a Heimatschein from my Heimatort and hand it in at my Gemeinde, they asked for my permit back. Then I just made an appointment online with the passport office.
Is it 5 months since you had citizenship approved? I think you are waiting for something that isn’t going to happen. Contact your Gemeinde and ask what they need. I had my passport a couple of weeks after my citizenship.
You should be able to get a passport five months after the citizenship was granted; try applying here (it'll take you through to your canton):

If it doesn't work, contact your cantonal authorities. After five months, you are well within your rights.
In BS, once citizenship was granted, it took 3 weeks for nationality to be changed in infostar.
She told me that they should send something like you said about "how to get the official ID card/passport", and that it takes some time... but like others, I was expecting weeks, and we're now thinking that something went wrong.
We got our nationality on a Thursday, visited the digital centre in Lausanne on Tuesday and received our ID cards and Passports by Registered mail on Friday.
Don’t forget to return your permit to the commune, perhaps they are waiting for that?
Every canton is different! In ours, you bring your permit to them at the biometrics appointment. But OP, you should definitely try to get an appointment/inquire.
They took ours at the ceremony, but I think Covid stopped those.
