Or is there no longer Maestro card at Migros bank because they replaced Maestro card with Visa Debit?
Hi I opened Migros bank account last week and received the package today, yet there was no maestro card in the package. Only Visa Debit.
Have you asked the Bank?
Did you have the option of Maestro or Visa Debit?
I called the bank yet no staff spoke English.
I was only offered Visa Debit yet I thought the maestro card was always with the bank account.

They replaced Maestro with Visa Debit . Note the description how to use it for online purchases.
Visa debit works just fine, why do you want Maestro?

We recently also received a visa debit from UBS instead of a maestro for the last almost 15+ years... No idea why... There may be a general trend...
Maybe close this account and choose a bank with services and documentation and support in English?
I wish I had a VISA debit, much more useful than a Maestro or PostFinance card!
So did we, from BKB. It appears to be a trend.
The Maestro is being phased our and replaced by the debit cards. The merchants in CH are not happy as they now need to pay higher fees for taking payments with these cards versus before with the Maestro that had a lower fee.
Not ideal... I do not believe one can get the Maestro anymore...

The U.K. has been using VISA debit for donkeys years. Swiss banks are very proud to be now providing a debit card we can use online
Close your current account and open one with Migros bank
Once your old Maestro is renewed you will either get a Visa debit, or a Mastercard debit.
No way, Migros bank is one of the worst and gets consistently bad ratings.
I am with Postfinance, so sadly not.
Lucky you. Postfinance will also go with Mastercard Debit.

EDIT - I would still prefer VISA debit but I am assuming not so many practical differences between them.
